Sand volleyball, cornhole event coming up

CLOVIS — A 4-on-4 co-ed sand volleyball tournament and a cornhole tournament, designed to support the Clovis High volleyball program, are scheduled for August 6 at Lucky Dawg Recreation Area on Sycamore Street near Hillcrest Park.

The entry fee for the volleyball tournament is $120 per team, with a maximum of six players. Pool play for seeding purposes will be followed by a single-elimination tournament bracket, with awards to the top two teams.

Teams must have two women on the court at all times. Pool play matches are two games to 21, while bracket consists of a best-of-3 format.

The deadline for registration is August 3, with all papers — including registration, payment, release forms and roster — to be turned in at that time. For information and entry forms, contact Tisha Brothers at 575/693-1182 or at [email protected].

The entry fee for the double-elimination cornhole tournament is $40, with two players per team. Players will keep score on the field, and awards will be given to the top two teams.
