“Patrick Picklebottom and the Penny Book” by Mr. Jay. This book was given in honor of Tyler Lucas. Young Patrick Picklebottom gets the surprise of his life when a kind-hearted store owner sells him his favorite book for only one penny. But will he get to read its wondrous stories... or will he be lured away by the flashy apps, video games and other electronics he finds his friends playing with as he heads back home?

“Ricky, the Rock that Couldn’t Roll” by Mr. Jay. This book was given in honor of Alan Kinlund. From zippy little pebbles to big strong boulders, the rock friends get together to play and roll around their favorite hill, only to find that one of their friends, Ricky, can’t roll with them. Unlike all of the other rocks, who are all round, Ricky can’t roll because he’s flat on one side. Determined not to leave their friend behind, the rocks set out to help Ricky roll - one way or another.

“The Apostle’s Sister” by Angela Hunt. She’s always longed for more, but what if the path she’s chosen requires more than she’s willing to give? Aya, daughter of Zebulun of Tarsus, does not want a traditional life. After years of being overshadowed by her brilliant brother Sha’ul, she wants a chance to use her own gifts beyond being a wife and mother. When her father insists that she marry a Torah student, she reluctantly agrees. A dedicated scholar, Sha’ul, or Paul, returns to Tarsus to follow the instructions of the Law and wed the woman his father has chosen to raise his profile and help him earn a seat on the Great Sanhedrin-- But when the Nazarene, Yeshua, and his followers bring trouble to the Holy City, Sha’ul will stop at nothing to silence them.

“15-Minute Better Back” by Suzanne Martin. If modern life, back injuries and poor posture are causing back pain, then these four 15-minute workout plans for beginners are for you! This exercise book is filled with easy workouts for back pain relief and a stronger, more flexible back. All you need is a mat.

“Temples of Books: Magnificent Libraries Around the World” by Marianne Julis Strauss. They’re a place where some of the oldest written texts are preserved and some of the newest technology connects visitors with vast amounts of knowledge. Libraries are changing, but, as places that are fundamentally free and open to all, they’re also staying the same. “Temples of Books” explores the most stunning examples, but it also explores how varied the idea of a library can be. It can be a grand Baroque hall with leather-bound tomes or a mid-century masterpiece, but it can just as easily be a few shelves in a repurposed phone booth or a collection of books in Minecraft.

“Born of Lakes and Plains” by Anne F. Hyde. Often overlooked, there is mixed blood at the heart of America. And at the heart of Native life for centuries there were complex households using intermarriage to link disparate communities and create protective circles of kin. Beginning in the 17th century, Native peoples formed new families with young French, English, Canadian, and American fur traders who spent months in smoky winter lodges or at boisterous summer rendezvous. Their family names are often imprinted on the landscape, but their voices have long been muted in our histories. Anne F. Hyde’s pathbreaking history restores them in full. During the pivotal 19th century, mixed-descent people who had once occupied a middle ground became a racial problem drawing hostility from all sides. Their identities were challenged by the pseudo-science of blood quantum―the instrument of allotment policy―and their traditions by the Indian schools established to erase Native ways. Here is an indelible western history with a new human face.
