Railroad crossing to close on CR S

The railroad crossing at County Road S west of Cannon Air Force Base will be closed Monday through Wednesday for maintenance.

BNSF railroad will be replacing and upgrading rail, rail ties and ballast, the main components of the track.

According to a news release from BNSF, regular maintenance of the track allows BNSF to keep its network infrastructure in optimal condition.

County Road S will be closed from Monday at 8 a.m. to Wednesday at 6 p.m.
