No one injured in 'shots fired' incident

Clovis police have released details on a “shots fired” incident at Fifth and Lea streets Tuesday night.

Clovis Police Captain Roman Romero said no one was injured in the incident Tuesday.

Romero said at about 9:44 p.m. officers responded to the area of Fifth and Lea streets in reference to a shots fired call.

Romero said when officers arrived on the scene, they located a home that had been shot.

“Contact was made with its occupant,” Romero said.

Officers recovered numerous nine-millimeter bullet casings, a projectile and what he termed “items of evidentiary value” including photos.

A CPD detective was called to the scene and the incident is under investigation.
