Texas earthquake rattles the region

Eastern New Mexico was barely rattled by a distant earthquake Nov. 16. The quake’s epicenter was roughly 200 miles south of the Clovis/Portales area.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude earthquake centered near Mentone, Tx.
