Musk suspends Kanye West's twitter account for inciting violence

Kanye West’s Twitter account was suspended early Friday after new owner Elon Musk declared the rapper had violated the platform’s rules against inciting violence.

“I tried my best,” Musk said in response to a user asking him to “fix Kanye.”

“Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

The suspension comes after West, who goes by Ye, tweeted an altered image of the Star of David merged with a swastika, suggesting he would use it as the logo for his 2024 presidential campaign. Just before he got the boot Thursday night, Ye also tweeted out an unflattering picture of a shirtless Musk aboard a yacht with Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel spraying him with a hose.

“Let’s always remember this as my final tweet,” West wrote.

In response, Musk clarified the “account is being suspended for incitement to violence, not an unflattering picture of me being hosed by Ari.”

The posts were deleted and the rapper’s page has since been replaced with the label: “Account suspended.”

It also comes after West drew backlash for his comments about the Jewish community during an appearance on Alex Jones’ “Infowars” alongside white supremacist and holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.

“I see good things about Hitler,” West said Thursday. “Jewish people are not going to tell me: ‘You can’t say out loud that this person ever did anything good.’ I’m done with that.”

“I like Hitler,” he added.

The Grammy-winning musician also doubled down on claims that Jews are in control of the media, including the news and music industries.

“The Jewish media has made us feel like Nazis and Hitler have never offered us anything of value to the world,” West said.

The remarks are among a series of anti-Semitic comments made by West in recent months, which have destroyed his business deals like the one he had with Adidas. In October, before Musk formally acquired Twitter, West’s account was locked over a tweet about “going death con [sic] 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.”

“You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” he said.

West was also previously suspended for Instagram over similar remarks.
