Leading NM community health organization welcomes new CEO

Albuquerque - This week, the New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) and its Board of Directors announced that Yvette Ramirez Ammerman has taken the helm as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer.

NMPCA is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation representing 19 member organizations that operate more than 200 medical sites including the La Casa Health Clovis Clinic.

Ammerman previously worked at NMPCA as an employee and Executive Director from 1994 – 2000.

Previously, she worked for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center’s Office of Interprofessional Education, and Leadership New Mexico.

Ammerman has a B.A. from Pomona College in California, and an M. Ed. from the University of Texas in Austin.
