Fourth fire victim still unidentified

At the state Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) in Albuquerque they’re calling her, “Jane Doe,” the fourth victim of the Jan. 12 house fire in the back yard of 511 North Wallace Street in Clovis.

Clovis Deputy Police Chief Trevor Thron gave no details as to why the female remains unidentified.

Thron had reported Jan. 17 three of the four victims of the blaze were positively identified: Tia Nabours, 43; Christopher James, 41 and Joshua Ward, 33.

OMI reported the cause of death for all four was smoke inhalation.

No report has been issued detailing the cause of the fire in which vehicles from most of fire stations of the Clovis Fire Department sent personnel and vehicles just after 2:15 a.m. Jan. 12.

Public Information Officer David Lienemann with the State Fire Marshal’s office said it could be a month before the Fire Investigations Bureau, issues a report on the blaze.
