PORTALES - The Roosevelt County Planning/GIS/Emergency Management office will be permanently relocating to 1111 W. Fir St in Portales from their office in the Roosevelt County Courthouse the week of Feb. 13 .

During that week, the office will be closed for the transition.

According to the report Montiel said, “By moving, I believe it will provide a great, easily accessible location for all of the many functions I’m responsible for at the County, I’m excited with all the opportunities this location holds for the future.”

Roosevelt County received capital outlay appropriations for renovations at the Bonem Home Building. The project has been completed with the building receiving weather resistant upgrades to include a new stucco coating and the replacement of windows and doors, along with the renovation of front office space for the relocation of Montiel’s office.
