Curry County Association of Education Retirees

The Curry County Association of Educational Retirees held their February meeting at K-Bobs in Clovis Monday.

CCAER President Eileen Massey welcomed Shelly Norris, Superintendent of Clovis Christian School and Kassie Caponi, Principal and Executive Director of Admissions and Student Affairs of Clovis Christian Schools.

Caponi began the program, speaking of “Ten Reasons Why You’ll Want to Come to Clovis Christian Schools” which detailed the framework and positive points that have lead parents to enroll their children in the school in grades K – 12.

Throughout their presentation, Norris and Caponi each shared the most impactful projects from the past year that they believe have made Clovis Christian Schools a growing entity as well as the three strategic planning measures which helped them achieve complete accreditation.

The administrators said their focus is on, but not limited to, giving each student a well-rounded, high quality Christian education in a safe environment, providing a variety of competitive extra-curricular activities, and offering after-school child care. Questions were taken from the floor following the presentation.

The club’s March Program is scheduled to feature Jay and Amy Fisher of the Rock and Roll Museum in downtown Clovis.

CCAER meets the first Tuesday of the month at K-Bob’s Restaurant at 11 a.m. for lunch; 11:30 a.m. for the meeting.
