High winds cause power, internet interruptions

Clovis Municipal Schools administration office is reporting a number of power outages and internet interruptions on various school campuses today.

According to a news release, the schools in a mid-to-northwest zone of Clovis are experiencing power and internet disruptions.

The administration reports schools affected are: Clovis High School, Barry Elementary, Los Ninos Early Intervention Center, Gattis Middle School and the CMS Transportation Facility.

Instruction is continuing.

Administrators report power crews have responded and are working to resolve the issues, however no estimates have been given for when power will be restored.

The news release detailed school policy during power and/or internet outages: Facilities are secured and access may be limited, school telephones and email may be intermittently unavailable.

The news release noted callers and visitors are asked to have patience as efforts are made to resume service to the affected campuses.
