Plateau cooperative meeting Saturday

The 2023 annual meeting of the cooperative members of Plateau is happening Saturday in Clovis in the Lecture Hall at Clovis High School. Remote two-way conferencing locations will be at Clayton High School, Logan High School and Santa Rosa High School.

According to a Pleateau news release, members choosing not to travel to Clovis for the meeting can participate by registering and voting at one of the remote locations. Member registration begins at 8 a.m. and promptly ends at 10 a.m. with the start of the business meeting.

Regular agenda items include reports of officers and committees, election of the Board of Directors, presentation of the 2023 Education Foundation Scholarship winners and any other business presented before the cooperative membership.

According to the news release, the meeting will feature four positions up for election on the Board of Directors:

Position # 3 – represents the Bellview (456), Grady (357), Logan (487) and San Jon (576) exchanges – currently held by Jerry Sours of Grady.

Position # 4 – represents the Fort Sumner (355), House (279), Ragland (458) and Weber City (372) exchanges – currently held by Powhatan Carter III of Fort Sumner.

Position # 5 – represents the Fort Sumner (355), House (279), Ragland (458) and Weber City (372) exchanges – currently held by Jim Lyssy of Fort Sumner.

Position # 6 – represents the Clayton (374), Nara Visa (633) and Roy (485) exchanges – currently held by Michael Montoya of Roy.

Each registered member will receive a gift at all locations, be eligible for door prizes at all locations and be provided lunch after the meeting at the Clovis location only.
