Cannon AFB host virtual PFAS update meeting

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE — For those concerned about the presence of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in area groundwater, the 27th Special Operations Wing is returning to live virtual meetings to provide an overview of the PFAs investigation.

According to a news release from the Cannon Public Affairs department, the session will be held May 17 at 5 p.m. The Restoration Project Manager from the Air Force Civil Engineer Center will provide investigation status updates and answer public PFAS questions.

The news release notes the virtual meeting is open to the public, but attendees must RSVP prior to receive zoom access information. RSVP by emailing [email protected] no later than 3 p.m Monday.

The Cannon news release says Zoom allows users to type their questions into a chat box. All questions will be captured and answered either during the meeting or in the meeting minutes. For questions regarding the Zoom software, visit: Zoom Help Center.
