High winds, hail headed for Clovis

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect in Curry County until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

At 4:17 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Broadview, 25 miles north of Clovis. That storm included 60-mph winds and half-dollar size hail, according to the National Weather Service. It was moving southeast at 25 mph.

“Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees,” NWS reports.
