The Clovis/Curry County Chamber of Commerce has recognized its recent Retail Rockstar winners -- Tankersley’s Men’s Clothing and Holland’s Office Equipment.
According to a chamber news release, Tankersley’s was chosen by the previous Retail Rockstar, Aucutt’s Paint Store. The announcement was made July 28.
Tankersley’s has been serving Clovis since 1961 and is a second-generation business.
The release described Tankersley’s as a “must-visit” business and a “revered Main Street feature.”
Tankersley’s is described as specializing in a variety of men’s fashions.
Tankersley’s location downtown is 306 Main St.
Tankersley’s in turn chose Holland’s Office Equipment as the Retail Rockstar on Thursday.
In the release the chamber invites the community to join the Retail Rockstar presentation at Holland’s, where chamber officials will honor Holland’s for their dedication to the community. The ceremony is at 8:30 a.m. at Holland’s storefront, at 601 Pile St.
Holland’s has been in business in Clovis for 94 years, according to Cannon.
Cannon wrote, “The Chamber of Commerce and their retail committee recently debuted the Retail Rockstar program, a new initiative that highlights local retail businesses. Every other week, a new business will be featured.”
