Curry County’s information technology director Todd Ulses has been appointed to serve on the state Department of Information Technology’s Cybersecurity Advisory Committee.
According to a Curry County news release, the Cybersecurity Advisory Committee is charged with assisting in the development of a statewide cybersecurity plan, guidelines for cybersecurity best practices, and recommendations on responding to cybersecurity threats or attacks.
The committee also has authority over hiring, supervising, disciplining, and compensation of state cybersecurity officers.
The news release reports Ulses said, “I am excited about this opportunity and truly look forward to helping ensure the state’s cybersecurity posture is strong.”
