The Roosevelt County Fair opens its gates from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5 p.m to midnight Friday through Sunday at the Roosevelt County Fairgrounds, 705 E. Lime St. Portales.
Admission prices: children ages five and under, free; $6 for ages 6 to 12; $8 for adults; $6 for seniors 65 and olde.

Tuesday
• 7 a.m - 4 p.m., Home art judging division which includes food preservation, woodworking, flower show, handiwork, adult crafts, sewing, metal arts, agricultural mechanics, sub junior crafts, 4-H educational, 4-H open, fine arts and photography.
• 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Youth horse show at the outdoor arena.
• 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Flower show entries.
• 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Poultry show.
• 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Fair grounds will be open to the public.
• 5 p.m., Roosevelt County Fair Board election opens.
• 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m., Market swine show at the Johnny Ogden Arena.
Wednesday
(Half price gate admissions) - Special Needs Day (Free admission for those with special needs. Further questions contact Joni Miller at [email protected])
• 6 a.m. - 9 a.m., All market beef and breeding beef must be on fair grounds.
• 6 a.m. - 10 a.m., 4-H Pork Chop Breakfast at the Jake Lopez Building.
• 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Special Needs Day activities at the Idsinga Building.
• 10 a.m. - 11 p.m., Market beef and breeding beef weigh in.
• 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Home Arts Building open to the general public.
• 12:30 p.m. - 1 p.m., Special Needs goat show at the Events Arena.
• 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Merchants Building open to the public.
• 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Market lamb show at the events arena.
• 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., Praise and worship at the Slab.
• 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Sun Valley Rides Carnival.
• 5:30 p.m., DM Productions team roping at the Outdoor Arena.
Thursday
Military Day (Half price admissions for military with IDs) - Senior Citizen Day.
• 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., Antique tractor games at the Outdoor Arena and antique tractor show in front of the Jake Lopez Building.
• 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Pioneer Day luncheon and annual meeting at the Jake Lopez Building.
• 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Home Arts Building open to the public.
• 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., Replacement dairy heifer show at the events arena.
• 3 p.m. - 10 p.m., Merchants Building open to the public.
• 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Sun Valley Rides Carnival.
• 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Breeding beef and market beef show at the Events Arena.

• 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Home Arts Building open to the public.
• 3 p.m. - 10 p.m., Merchants Building open to the public.
• 3 p.m., 5-D Barrel Race at the Outdoor Arena.
• 5 p.m. - 6 p.m., Awards banquet at the Events Arena.
• 5 p.m. - Midnight, Sun Valley Rides Carnival.
• 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., Junior livestock sale at the Events Arena, followed by a meal at the Jake Lopez Building.

• 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., Kiwanis Pet Show: Turtle race, goat branding, stick horse race and dummy roping at the Idsinga Pavilion and Home Arts Building.
• 12 p.m. - 10 p.m., Merchants Building open to the public.
• 5 p.m., Roosevelt County election lineman demonstration at the Outdoor Arena.
• 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., Cotton Extravaganza at the Jake Lopez Building and Shepherds Sheep & Wool Lead.
