Cannon to contract locally

Beginning Oct. 1, Cannon Air Force Base procurement officials will partner with community officials to highlight opportunities for local contractors’ participation in federal government contracts, according to a news release from Cannon.

The partnership “will drive a consistent flow of information as business opportunities are posted to the federal website Sam.gov.” the news release stated.

When posted on Sam.gov, notifications will also be posted on Curry County’s website, currycounty.org, as well as the city of Portales’ website, Facebook page, and Instagram with links to the original postings with more information, , according to the news release.

The city of Portales website is portalesnm.gov.
