Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The New Mexico State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Tactical Team and Uniform Bureau conducted operation in Clovis last weekend in effort to reduce DWI, reckless driving, violent crime, and other criminal activity.
“Over the course of the two-day operation, 332 traffic stops were made with 66 citations issued,” a State Police news release states. “A total of 13 arrests were made to include 3 aggravated DWI arrests. In addition, officers apprehended individuals with 4 active felony warrants and 4 active misdemeanor warrants. 1 stolen vehicle was also recovered.”
State Police will continue to conduct operations like this throughout the year, the news release stated.
