*Winter Letters Farolito Tour – 5-9 p.m., Bosque Redondo Memorial, 3647 Billy the Kid Road, Fort Sumner. Live interactive event that connects visitors to the site history through landscape and storytelling using Fort Sumner archival military correspondence and oral histories from the Diné (Navajo) and Ndé (Mescalero Apache). Staff tours every 20 minutes for duration of the event. Each tour will takes about an hour and covers 1.5 miles of walking, lit by approximately 1,300 farolitos. Self-guided audio tours also available. Tickets $7 for adults; free for children under 16; and free for Tribal Members. Tickets include access to the Memorial Exhibition, a tour, and posole, biscochitos, hot cocoa, and coffee while supplies last.
