Crystal was born in Portales, New Mexico to Valentine Sena and Lucy Mendoza on April 27, 1983. She attended school in Clovis where she developed life-long friends. Crystal was protective of her younger brothers Solomon and Emijedio and would let anyone know if they crossed the line, and she loved them dearly. She enjoyed being out in nature, going on adventures, and spending time with family and friends.
Crystal spent a lot of time from an early age helping her dad work on vehicles, learning to weld, and learning other skills from him that she used throughout her life. She also enjoyed and cherished the time she spent as a teen travelling and working with her mom doing Glamour Shots and makeup/hair. She reminisced on that often. Out of everything that brought her joy, nothing compared to the joy she felt with all her boys. She loved taking them on spontaneous road trips, to lakes, camping, the shooting range, to visit family, or simply lounging around watching movies. They were her reason for living.
When Crystal was 20, she gave birth to her first-born, Gage. Three years later, she had Thomas, Cesario three years after that and her final baby, Abraham, was born six years later. For most of that time she was a stay-at-home mom, and she truly loved spending quality time with her boys. From 2007 to 2019, she lived in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In May 2017, she graduated with her Associates in General Studies and her Welding Certification.
When Crystal moved back to Clovis, she began working at Bizzee Beez Roofing in March. In August, she went on to help run Clovis Home Remedies, and in December she started her detailing business, Crystal's Deluxe Detailing, another major accomplishment she was so proud of.
Crystal was well-known for her adventurous, fun and loving nature. She had the most infectious and heart-warming laugh, and she was very creative and artistic, especially with metal working.
Crystal was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her Aunt Vodie Wilcox, her Brother Emijedio Sena, and her Son Gage Sandoval.
Crystal is survived by her sons Thomas, Cesario and Abraham; her brother Solomon (Tamara) Sena; her brother Domingo (Lorraine) Chavez; her aunt Heather Mendoza Garcia; her aunt Carol (Wilson) Lopez; her aunt Delores (Quentin) Hardy; her uncle Mike Sena; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family of Crystal wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all who supported them with prayer, supplies, donations, food and love during this difficult time.
