Mexican restaurant opens in Farwell

A restaurant offering “authentic Mexican food” has opened in Farwell.

“El Chiwas” is a nod to the home region of owners Yajaira and Fernando Garcia, originally from Jimenez, Chihuahua in Mexico, according to spokesperson and server Alondra Sanchez.
