Gattis 7th grade boys Improve record to 9-0

The Gattis seventh grade boys basketball team posted four recent wins to improve to 9-0 for the season.

The Cubs won a tournament in Clovis with victories over Portales B 44-4, Texico 52-7 and Portales A 37-28.

High scorers against Portales B were Alex Hita with 10 points, Trey Knox with 7 and Fabian Armijo and Xavier Vargas with 6 apiece. Luciano Gallo posted 10 points, Knox 8 and Braylon Chavez 5 in the win over Texico, while five others finished with four points.

In the win over Portales A, Hita led the way with 13 points.

On Jan. 11, the Cubs defeated Portales 28-24, with Gallo tallying 13 points, Knox 7 and Hita 6.
