Church service for Bobbie Angeley, age 84, of Texico, New Mexico, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Earth, Texas with Trent Tenaro of Earth officiating. Bobbie died Monday, February 5, 2024, in Clovis, New Mexico. He was born May 29, 1939, in Plainview, Texas to Jarvis Henry and Dora Belle (Shoup) Angeley. He was married to the love of his life and constant companion, Shirley Terrill for 34 years.
Bobbie served in the US Air Force. At a younger age, he liked to rodeo. He also played football for ASU and Texas A&M. Bobbie sold cars and won many awards for his Chevrolet sales. He owned B.J.'s Auto Sales in Clovis, New Mexico. He farmed for many years around Earth and Muleshoe, and he repaired clocks just for fun. He enjoyed football and watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies. Bobbie was an inventive cook and could throw a meal together from scratch at a moment's notice but was difficult to get into the kitchen. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Earth. He is preceded in death by a son, Jarvis Joe Angeley; his parents; a brother, Tracy Angeley; and a brother-in-law, Claburn Stewart.
Bobbie is survived by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Cheri Duvall of Delaware; a stepson, Gary Terrill; two stepdaughters, Inola Doolittle and Lacinda Luna; two sisters, Ilene Stewart of Dallas, Texas and Jody Cole and her husband, Jessy of Weatherford, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
