Residents invited to March dodgeball tournament

Residents from all ages are invited to participate in the Clovis Action Team and the Curry County Events Center’s dodgeball tournament March 2-3.

The competition will take place at the Curry County Event Center. Regardless whether you’re a pro player or a complete novice, the court is open to all who wish to participate. According to the press release from the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce there will be four courts available, with the competition transitioning from a pool play to a bracket play, guaranteeing every team plays three games.

The release states each team will require six members, with the option to add four substitutes and at least one female player. Below are the entry fees:

Kids ages 6-11: $50 per team.

Teens ages 12-16: $125 per team.

Adults ages 17 and up: $250 per team.

Each participant within the competition will receive an event t-shirt and a chance to win cash prizes. Kid teams will have a chance to earn a gift car instead.

Along with the competition attendees will get to learn more about the Clovis Action Team and how their support can make a difference in the lives of Clovis residents.

Attendees who are interested in sponsoring the tournament will need to turn in their sponsorship form on or before Feb. 23. While team registration forms are due Feb. 29 by 5 p.m.
