June Pride 2024 events announced

Eastern New Mexico Rising has announced its schedule of events for Pride 2024 in June.

According to its website, Eastern New Mexico Rising is a non-partisan, progressive movement that empowers individuals and connects communities by advocating for equality, diversity, human rights and civil liberties.

“We are excited to continue community building with you,” Co-Founder of ENMR Laura Wight said.

Below is the schedule:

• June 1 : Drag show at 8 p.m. at Red Door on Main, Clovis. Event is only open to people who are 21 years and older. There is a $5 cover.

• June 2: Chalk it up to pride is open to families at 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.. Attendees are encouraged to meet in front of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.

• June 6: Color me queer: sip n paint at 6:30 p.m. located at Just Kiln Me Now in Clovis. Attendees must pre-register online with a $26 fee.

• June 8: Pride parade at 10 a.m., Main Street in Clovis.

• June 21: Teen dance and social at 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Do Drop In at Portales.

• June 23: Drag Queen story hour at 3 p.m. - 4 p.m., location is still being determined.

• June 29: Family pridefest at 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Portales City Park.

• June 30: Portales chalk it up to pride at 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.. Meet in front of Do Drop In.
