Obituary: Michael Ulibarri

Michael Ulibarri, age 63, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 718 E Luna Drive, Hobbs, NM. Rosary will be Thursday, April 25, 2024, 6:00 pm at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton Street, Clovis, NM. Memorial Mass will be on Friday, April 26, 2024, 10:30 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 108 Davis Street, Clovis, NM with Father Eli Valadez officiating with a burial to follow at Mission Garden of Memories, 2900 W. 7th St., Clovis, NM. Lunch to be served following burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Michael Ulibarri, Desiree Ulibarri, Nicki Gordon, and Makayla Gordon will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Michael was born on April 26, 1960, to Ralph Ulibarri and Lydia Griego in Clovis, NM. He loved to travel and included everyone in his adventures. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and giving everyone a hard time. Most important to Michael was spending time and taking care of family. He always had something to share such as food, a story, and especially a new joke. He made sure everyone was laughing and smiling.

Survivors include his spouse, Nicki of Hobbs, son Michael and spouse Julie of OR, his daughters: Desiree of CA, Makayla, and spouse Cole of FL. His stepmother Lillian of NM, his brothers: David and spouse Jennine of AZ, Anthony and spouse Debbie and Luis all of NM, Ruben and spouse Jennifer of MT, Christopher and spouse Cindy of TX, his sisters: Crystal, Ruth, Lisa and spouse Harvey, Daphne, and spouse Mike all of NM, and his grandson Julius, who is the sparkle in his eye.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Lydia, brothers: Frank, Robert, Johnny, Arturo, and his sister Debbie.
