Dogg Pound Crossfit holds ribbon cutting

Destiny Brown calls her business “The Dogg Pound Crossfit because I’ve always just loved the idea of a hard-working dog, like the dog inside of you. It’s a play on words.”

Destiny and her husband Zac own and operate the business at 1416 N. Main.

While the business opened earlier this year, the Browns will be having a ribbon-cutting with the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce on Friday.

“Crossfit is a methodology of fitness that mimics life,” Destiny Brown said.

“We have four classes. We’re open then and have some open gym time as well,” Brown said.

Brown believes her business goes beyond the business.

“I just think that the Dogg Pound is an awesome community whether you are super fit or never worked out a day in your life. We have awesome and knowledgeable coaches,” she said.

Brown said Friday’s ribbon cutting starts with an open house at 11:30 a.m. and the ribbon cutting is at 11:45 a.m.
