Financial planner wins Forbes award

Clovis financial planner Alan Kinlund has picked up another national award from Forbes magazine: Second place as the Forbes Next Gen Financial Advisor of the Year for New Mexico.

In 2023, Kinlund received the first place award from the magazine.

“Hey, even Simone Biles gets a silver medal every now and then,” Kinlund said.

Kinlund describes his work as “helping people, helping families grow, maintain and pass on wealth.”

Kinlund works for the nationwide firm Edward Jones.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be recognized on a national stage for my efforts,”

Kinlund, from Raton, came to the area when he attended Eastern New Mexico University.

Kinlund met his wife Sarah at ENMU. They have three boys, ages 6, 3 and 1.
