Gattis 7th graders win first two football games

The Gattis 7th grade football team opened its season with a pair of wins, defeating Lovington 12-0 and Yucca 28-0.

Nathan Lewis ran for touchdowns of 80 and 30 yards in the win over Lovington, while Lewis had another TD, Zaccheaus Johnson added a pair of scores, Luke Clements tallied a touchdown and Larry Bravo-Munoz chipped in a couple of 2-point conversions in the win over the Chaparrals.

Yucca’s next game is set for 4:30 p.m. next Tuesday at home against Portales.
