Fire damages home near Sixth and Prince in Clovis

Fire caused extensive damage to a home near Sixth and Prince streets in Clovis on Sunday night.

Firefighters responded to the scene about 6:15 p.m. Flames were visible coming from the roof of the structure along with heavy smoke, which could be seen for blocks.

The blaze appeared to be contained by 7 p.m.

An ambulance was on the scene along with Clovis police and multiple firetrucks. It wasn't immediately clear whether anyone was inside the home when the fire started.
