ELIDA – Junior Cason Norman rushed for six touchdowns on Friday night and Elida rolled to an 84-38 6-man District 1 victory over Roy/Mosquero.
Seniors Dylan Dobbins and Hardy Fraze also had multiple rushing TDs for the Tigers (5-2, 3-1 district), who led 46-26 at halftime and were dominant throughout against the Blue (4-2, 2-2).
Elida had three interceptions in the contest, including one returned 77 yards for a touchdown by Fraze in the fourth quarter. The other INTs were by Norman and sophomore Hayden Wolf.

Grady 44, Dora 6 – Sophomore Zander Ciancio threw for three scores and senior Deakin Ragland had a pair of interceptions as the Bronchos (6-1, 3-1 6-man District 1) cruised past the Coyotes (2-3, 1-3) at Grady.
Ciancio threw scoring passes of 7 and 4 yards to sophomore Gavin West and 14 yards to sophomore Caden Croy. Ciancio also kicked four 2-point conversions.
Other touchdowns for Grady came on a 16-yard run by sophomore Hays Rush, an 8-yard run by senior Chevy Dickson and a blocked punt recovery in the end zone by sophomore Madden Flood.
Melrose 62, Gateway Christian 16 – At Roswell, senior quarterback Josiah Roybal scored on a 50-yard run on the first play of the contest and the defending 8-man state champion Buffaloes continued to make short work of their opposition in a District 3 clash.
Roybal tossed touchdown passes of 60 and 24 yards to senior Brayden Eldridge and 32 yards to junior Jaxon Odom as the Buffs (7-0) led 32-0 at the quarter and 48-8 at halftime.
Odom added TD runs of 52 and 45 yards and also had a pick-6 covering 60 yards, while Eldridge also scored on a 32-yard run. Melrose went 7-of-8 on 2-point conversions.
The Warriors (4-2, 2-2), who moved up from 6-man this season, broke through when junior quarterback Zack McCracken tossed a 10-yard scoring pass in the second quarter and added a 17-yard TD run in the fourth.
Texico 52, Loving 0 – At Loving, the Class 2A top-ranked and defending state champion Wolverines (6-0) cruised to victory over the Falcons (5-2) in the District 3 opener for both squads.
Senior Alex Fuentes accounted for 36 points for Texico with five touchdowns and three 2-point conversions. The Wolverines led 38-0 at halftime and ended the game in the third quarter on the 50-point mercy rule.
Sophomore Jett Curtis added the other two TDs for Texico. Curtis and junior Kye Conley each collected a 2-point conversion.
Farwell 39, Friona 13 – The Steers (2-4) got back into the win column with a dominating performance against the winless Chieftans (0-6) at Friona.
Senior quarterback Jonathan Armstrong carried 10 times for 129 yards and a touchdown and went 11-of-23 through the air for 189 yards and a pair of scores for Farwell, which led 27-0 at halftime. Armstrong put the Steers on the board with a 43-yard TD run in the opening stanza, and his scoring passes covered 33 yards to junior Hudson Agee in the first quarter and 20 yards to senior Ryder McElroy in the final stanza.
McElroy, who had three touchdowns, caught three passes for 47 yards and ran four times for 81 yards. His other tallies came on a 69-yard run in the second frame and a pass interception in the final period.
Senior Peyton Harris ran 15 times for 103 yards and went in on a 3-yard touchdown run in the second frames. Junior Daniel Silva booted three PATs.
Farwell held a 513-187 advantage in total offense, including 324 yards on the ground. The Chieftans broke through for fourth-quarter scores on a fumble return and a 27-yard pass play.
