Presbyterian announces new CEO

Presbyterian Healthcare Services has a new chief executive officer.

Dr. Rishi Sikka, an emergency medicine physician with years of experience in leadership in both the clinical and academic worlds and a Presbyterian board member, will start as CEO on Oct. 21, the health care company announced Thursday.

Sikka will replace Dale Maxwell, who announced earlier this year he would retire at the end of July after eight years as CEO and 23 with the organization overall.

Presbyterian operates hospitals in Clovis, Tucumcari and seven other locations around New Mexico.
