Gattis 7th graders post victory against Yucca

The Gattis seventh grade football team improved to 4-1 for the season on Tuesday with a 46-0 victory over Yucca.

Ricky Fenstermaker scored two of the Cubs’ three touchdowns on defense and also tallied one on offense. Other TDs for Gattis came on a 55-yard run by Uriah Sarracino, a 28-yard run by Ezra Cano and a 30-yard run by Nathan Lewis, who also tacked on a pair of conversion runs.

Meantime, Langdon Lewis returned an interception 50 yards for a score, while Jaime Hernandez had a forced fumble and a sack and Andres Cabrera complied two tackles, including a sack, and a pass breakup.

The Cubs’ next outing is at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Portales.
