Authorities search for suspect in Sunday Clovis area shooting

The Curry County Sheriff’s Department looking for a suspect in a shooting Sunday at a home southwest of the Clovis city limits.

According to a news release from Sheriff Michael Brockett, authorities are looking for Adiano Gallegos, 18, of Clovis.

In his news release, Brockett reported at approximately 2:12 p.m. Sunday the Clovis Police

Department received a 911 call from a resident who lives in the 700 Block of South Sandoval.

The caller reported that a neighbor had been shot and

then transported to the Plains Regional Medical Center.

The caller also said the suspected shooter had left the scene.

Brockett reports deputies arrived a short time later and made contact with people who were

leaving the scene.

While investigating the incident, Deputies learned that

the victim, Alejandro Reyna,44, of Clovis and Andrea Moralez, 34, also of Clovis along with Gallegos were together inside the residence when Reyna was shot in the stomach.

Reyna was transported to the Plains Regional Medical Center by a privately owned vehicle where he was treated and transferred to University Medical Center in Lubbock in critical condition.

Deputies have obtained an arrest warrant for Gallegos, charging him with one count of aggravated battery.

Brockett reports the investigation is ongoing.
