Two shot early Sunday in Clovis

Two people were shot and “six to thirty gunshots” were reported early Sunday morning in the 900 block of Plaza Drive, Clovis police reported.

A 17-year-old male was shot in the chest and transported to a Lubbock hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said. A 24-year-old woman was shot in the face and was in stable condition at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, police said.

No arrests had been made late Sunday morning.

Police stated in a news release they received multiple 911 calls reporting the gunshots.

“On arrival, Officers relayed they had multiple car crashes on Plaza,” the release stated. “…Within the scene, Officers located multiple casings of varying calibers in the roadway.”
