Here’s a partial list of Veterans Week activities planned around the region:

Wednesday

• Veterans Week Open House – 5-8 p.m., American Legion Post #117, 2800 W. Seventh St., Clovis.

Thursday

• Free breakfast for veterans (active duty or retired) – 8 a.m., Baxter-Curren Activities Center, 908 Hickory St., Clovis. Information: 575-762-3631

• Veterans Week Open House – 5-8 p.m., Elks Lodge #1244, 218 Sycamore St., Clovis.

Saturday

• Veterans Parade: “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service” – 10 a.m., Main Street south from Hilltop Plaza, Clovis. Prize winners announced at VFW Post #3280, 200 W. Grand Ave., Clovis, at noon. • Veterans Day

• Veterans Day celebration – 8:30 a.m., Dora Consolidated Schools, 100 School St., Dora. Coffee and donuts for all veterans and their families. Information: 575-477-2211

• Roosevelt County Veterans Day observance – 10:30, Memorial Building, 200 E. Seventh St., Portales. Presented by American Legion Post 31. Information: Randy Dunson at 575-760-3341

• Southeast District Daughters of the American Revolution patriots’ marker dedication – 1 p.m., Roswell Veterans Memorial, 401 N. Main St. (Chaves County courthouse lawn), Roswell. Honoring the nation’s first veterans. Southeast District includes El Portal Chapter of Portales/Clovis. Information: 575-359-1558
