Curry County Association of Educational Retirees

A meeting of the Curry County Association of Educational Retirees was held Nov. 5 at K-Bob’s Restaurant.

The program was presented by Barbara Riggan, director of the Hillcrest Senior Life Center. She began her duties as director in 2017. The Senior Center offers many activities for people aged 50 and over at no charge and breakfast and lunch meals Monday through Friday at a nominal price.

CCAER were provided a sample printout of November activities and menu and encouraged to stop by for a tour. We were also told that, as retired educators, we can offer our services to teach classes to those who attend.

CCAER meets the first Tuesday of the month at K-Bob’s at 11 a.m. for lunch; 11:30 a.m. for the meeting. Our next meeting will be Dec. 3. The Clovis High School Choir will present “Music of the Season” under the direction of Tami Martin.
