Company acquires Burns Hardware

Clovis’ Burns Do It Center has been acquired by Nation’s Best Holdings of Dallas.

According to a Nov. 1 online article from “Building Products Digest,” Nation’s Best acquisition of Burns Do It Center is the company’s second acquisition in New Mexico.

The move brings to 64 the number of stores owned by Nation’s Best, according to the article.

“When it comes to a culture fit, the Burns family and the Burns Do it Center staff are directly aligned with the Nation’s Best philosophy of ‘Amaze, Every Time,’” Nations Best CEO Chris Miller said in the article.

The article goes on to report James Burns, former owner, will stay on “along with the dedicated teams” at Burns Do it Center and High Plains Gun Shop.

“They are a really good company with the same focus and ideals as I had in operating the business,” Burns said Monday.

What’s the story behind Burns’ decision?

“It was time for me to work a little less and enjoy life more,” Burns said.

According to the Nation’s Best Holdings website, the company is one of “locally branded hardware stores, home centers and lumber yards focusing on people and relationships.
