Ricky Fuentes picked nine of 10 games correctly last weekend to move into sole possession of first place in the Pigskin Pick ‘Em contest after 10 weeks.
Two other players also went 9-1 last week — Adam Branham and Doug Everhart. Fuentes won the drawing for the $50 gift card from Juanito’s Mexican Restaurant.
For the season now, Fuentes has picked 76 games correctly. Branham is in second place with 75 correct picks, followed by Tommy Platt with 73.
Also on the leaderboard: Drew Cole (69), Mario Castaneda and Bob Hill (68), Joseph Cavazos (67), Stu Stratton (66), Danny Inman (62) and Sage Free (60).
The contest consists of 12 weeks with a weekly winner receiving a $50 gift card from Juanito’s. Also at stake: a $500 cash prize to the player with the most correct picks for the season.
Player cards for week 11 are in today’s paper.
The season’s final player card will publish on Sunday, Dec. 15. That card will feature 20 games, including NFL contests and college football bowl games.
Regular-season winners are announced on radio stations KTQM (99.9 FM) and KCLV (99.1 FM) on Tuesday mornings and they’re published in Wednesday’s newspaper.
The week 12 winner and overall season winner will be announced on the radio stations on Friday, Jan. 24, and in the newspaper on Sunday, Jan. 26.
