Portales moves development day

Portales Municipal Schools on Monday approved moving a teacher professional development day from Jan. 6 to Jan. 17.

School officials also reminded parents and students the district will recess for Thanksgiving from Nov. 25 through Nov. 29.

The next regular meeting of the school board is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 9 in the administrative offices, 501 S. Abilene, Portales.
