A teenager was shot to death and two teens were arrested in connection with his slaying, Clovis police said Saturday.
Tony Cristan, 18, was shot in "his upper torso and head areas," police said. He was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center, then transferred to a Lubbock hospital where he died.
Two 16-year-old boys were arrested in connection with the slaying -- one charged with murder, conspiracy and tampering with evidence; the other charged with tampering with evidence and harboring or aiding a felon, police stated in a news release.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of North Ash about 2 a.m. Saturday. That's where they found Cristan on the ground.
The region's Major Crimes Unit was activated.
