Clovis police on Wednesday night were investigating the city's second homicide this month.
No arrests had been made as of 7:45 p.m., but police were about to interview a "person of interest," Deputy Police Chief Trevor Thron said.
Police said they received a report of shots fired in the 800 block of Davis Street about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
On arrival, police found a deceased male inside a travel trailer in a driveway in the 900 block of Reid Street.
"The male had a possible gunshot wound to his body," according to a police news release.
The region's Major Crimes Unit was called in to investigate.
Police declined to release the victim's name until relatives had been notified.
