Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The Clovis-area’s emergency alert system is changing.
“Nixle is no more. All notifications will go out through HyperReach,” said Clovis/Curry County Emergency Management Director Ruthann Kelly.
“HyperReach is a great addition to the community. It gives us the ability to send messages to the whole county in English and Spanish.”
Kelly said the emergency messaging “is also available for the hearing impaired. HyperReach can also be enabled on Alexa devices,” Kelly said.
Clovis city commissioners approved the move to HyperReach at their Dec. 5 regular meeting.
The system is employed to carry weather alerts and other emergency notifications.
Those who are interested in signing on with the alert system may call (575) 218-7100 or use the link http://hyper-reach.com/nmcurrysignup.html.
