Gattis 7th grade boys split pair of contests

The Gattis seventh grade boys basketball team split a pair of games last week and now stands 3-5 for the season after beating Hobbs Houston 32-20 on Tuesday and losing to Texico 34-28 on Thursday.

Isaac Aranda scored 13 points in the win at Hobbs, while Nathan Lewis added eight and Luke Clements six. In the matchup with the Wolverines, Lewis poured in 18 points and Isaac Aranda chipped in 10.

The Cubs return to action on Friday at Yucca.
